Its is exciting I have been putting off doing a portrait of our ward Councillor Sue Bolton for about a year it was going to be a digital print maybe that will come too now – I wanted the essence and not the full active life of all her to do and doing list.  We are so lucky to have Sue as our ward Councillor. A big fan of her style of participatory democracy.

The gesso is down, the sketch done and a layer of white opaque water colour – its around 86 cms wide x 1100 cms  high. Adding colour tomorrow.

Fern will be presenting at  ‘Arts in the North’  This Saturday 20 June, 2.30 – 4.30 pm J-Studios, 50 Wheatsheaf Road, Glenroy

There will be some short presentations from artists working in the North followed by an interactive session for creative to share their interests and hopefully form some future working partnerships!’
