  • Eco Ink -Print & Dye May 2025

Ink samples from avocado skin using the ‘Make Ink’ method by Jason Logan

Eco print starting point. White cotton mordant with Epsom salt, vinegar and salt. Grey cotton mordant with rust, vinegar and salt. Selection of garden plants to try. Some presoaked some not.

    Layout of plants.

Outcome sample. After just below boiling for two hours. No clear print yet beautiful colours.

All in a day or two of experimenting with ecco print and inking.

Outcome I prefer the inking process alot less fuss and time. However, on saying that once I nail it, I am sure that will be different.

Thank you Karin for being a fellow experimenter in the processes.

  • COVID-19 Diary 1

Like this washed up fairy penguin alone at Portarlington, we find ourselves in an environment that is new. How as artists do we conduct our art practice? How do we keep our valuable audience engaged? What will change?

Lets see if I can keep a diary, a life inside the COVID-19 world pandemic.
