The workshops are an opportunity to explore with a artist, Fern Smith, the world of puppetry from shadow puppets to marionettes. Learning the art of puppet making brings together the art of craft, character development and art practice. The puppet maker will make puppets from Shadow puppet, to Marionettes. Bookings essential: Class size: Up to six persons
Skill level: To be able to take instruction, work with sharp implements and when required work on your own.

Workshop pricing:
Four consecutive classes$60 ($15 per class)
Eight consecutive classes$120.00; ($15 per class and the opportunity to display your puppet at the end of year Masters exhibition in FernArtz studio)
Annual 28 classes: $280.00 ($10.00 per class and the opportunity display your puppet and put on a puppet show in the Masters exhibition at the end of the year.)
Materials: will be supplied. What to bring: A box or something suitable (like a hard suitcase) to take your work to and from the workshops.

School holiday Tweetie Bird Workshops
FernArtz Open Studio in Merlynston for Tweetie Bird workshops: making birds from paper pulp: All ages. 3 year olds and under must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
1 hour sessions from 4pm – 6pm this Tuesday 8, Wednesday 9 and Friday 11 July 2014
