Drawing is how we often start out with pencil, pen or texta. During the 1960’s as a child I loved all the new innovations in pencil materials available to children. I received a tin box of Derwent pencils which I coveted and proudly took to school. they were smooth on the paper the tones were rich. They aided long drawing sessions and encouraged colouring in.
I met a adult artist who lived in Canberra I don’t remember her name however I do remember her large pencil drawings, totally fascinated.
A pencil you can carry with you your trusty scribe be it picture or word.
